The Broadway musical *The Lion King* is returning to Taiwan after an 11-year absence, announcing 14 performances. Following strong initial ticket sales and high demand from fans, Disney Theatrical Productions and Michael Cassel Group have confirmed additional shows after deliberation. They are excited to announce five extra performances from August 2 to 4, with tickets going on sale at 3 PM sharp on April 2.

On April 1, three main cast members of *The Lion King* held a press conference in Taiwan.
At the April 1 press conference, three leading actors were invited to Taiwan: Jordan Shaw as Simba, Amanda Kunene as Nala, and Zodwa Selele as Rafiki. They performed classic songs *Circle of Life* and *Can You Feel the Love Tonight*, delivering emotionally powerful renditions that transported the audience to the majestic Pride Lands.

As the third-longest-running Broadway musical, *The Lion King* has been enchanting audiences for over 21 years and remains one of the most popular and highest-grossing musicals worldwide. The achievements of *The Lion King* surpass those of any other musical in history.

Julie Taymor, who also served as director, costume designer, and co-designer of puppets and masks, created over 200 masks and animal puppets for *The Lion King*, delivering a visually stunning experience for the audience.
