This event adopted a system where media had to first pick up a number at the venue before entering according to their number. The scheduled time for distributing numbers was 8:00 AM, but some media arrived as early as 6:00 AM to wait. Numbers were distributed up to 300, and even after that, more media continued to arrive. Some media outlets also deployed 3–4 teams to capture the scene, making it virtually Taipei’s biggest food event, with tremendous promotional exposure for tourism. The event was hosted by Jeff Chiang.

Due to only having 12 seats at Fentianben, the chef is unable to attend today. This renowned eatery was considered a hidden gem even before making the list in 2018, and reservations are usually hard to get.Reservations for Fentianben after its star win require waiting up to a year;The two-Michelin-star list includes two restaurants maintaining their status, two promoted from one star to two, and one new entry.

Maintaining three stars is no easy feat; ChefsVincent Chen (Chen Weiqiang) and Tahir Chen (Chen Tarirong) could not hide their joy as they stepped on stage to receive the award, showing extremely happy expressions.

On-site activities included group photos with chefs and individual interviews.
The second edition of the Taipei Michelin Guide saw 20 restaurants that retained their stars from the previous year, while newly listed ones are sure to become hot spots sought after by food enthusiasts. The tourism boost brought by the Michelin Guide is also considerable — an estimated over 100,000 tourists visit Taipei specifically for its Michelin-starred dining experiences each year. Additionally, when starred chefs set up shop in counties and cities outside Taipei, it sparks discussions and another wave of food tourism interest. The allure of Michelin-starred cuisine is truly remarkable.
