Who says running tracks have to be red? The newly completed rainbow track at Gao Mei Elementary School in Qingshui, Taichung, has quickly become the newest check-in hotspot on social media.

Located in the coastal area of Qingshui District, Taichung, Gao Mei Elementary School is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The rainbow track was officially unveiled on March 21 during the school’s anniversary celebration. With a total length of 160 meters, the track received budget subsidies from the central government—60% funded by the Ministry of Education and 40% as a matching grant from Taichung City Government—making it the most colorful track along Taichung’s coastal route.

As the rainbow track at Gao Mei Elementary School has just been completed and is still relatively new, its vivid and well-defined colors are not only eye-catching but also break the monotony of traditional schoolscapes. This has increased students' willingness to engage in sports activities, uplifting their mood and making them feel younger and more energetic. Meanwhile, the school corridors are adorned with numerous cartoon designs, brimming with the innocence and playfulness of childhood.

The elementary school is not open to the public during class hours. Please do not bring food or dangerous items onto the campus.
