Venture into the mountain wilderness, savoring crispy grilled fish while lounging in a hammock under the trees and admiring the beautiful lakes and mountains—truly embrace a wild lifestyle.

Wild Smoke is located at Shuanglianpi by Lake Xihu in Yuanshan, Yilan, a spot travelers must pass on their way to Fushan Botanical Garden. The area is rich in natural resources and is known as a national treasure-level wetland due to its mid-to-low elevation and abundant rare aquatic plants.

Shuanglianpi was an important hunting ground for the indigenous Atayal people. Its name comes from two connected lakes, whose waters originate from mountain streams and underground springs. The surrounding swampy wetlands are well-preserved, unpolluted, algae-rich, and teeming with fish.

It takes about half an hour to drive from downtown Yilan to Wild Smoke. The park features rustic open-air pavilions where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views, sip coffee, and chat—truly relaxing.

For visitors to the park who don’t dine here, there’s a minimum spend of NT$100. It’s a great choice for spending a relaxing half-day in nature with friends.
