Limited-time release of commemorative double tickets for the overseas premiere of Detective Conan: Scientific Investigation Exhibition in Taiwan

The highly popular Japanese exhibition “Detective Conan: Scientific Investigation Exhibition” will hold its first overseas event in Taipei this June. The venue is also specially selected to be on the 7th floor special exhibition hall of the National Taiwan Science Education Center—the only national science education center in the country—fully embodying the concept of “scientific investigation”!

The ultra-popular series “Detective Conan” has been serialized for over twenty years, amassing a huge fan base both at home and abroad through its manga, anime, and movies.

This exhibition allows fans of all ages—both kids and adults—who love Conan and mystery-solving—to personally experience the thrill of investigating crime scenes, finding evidence, and solving puzzles in Taiwan. The truth is always just one step away.

Taiwan has especially negotiated with the Japanese side to launch commemorative double tickets, which will go on exclusive pre-sale at 12 noon on May 2nd via the udn Ticketing website. Upon entry, visitors can exchange for commemorative tickets featuring Conan and Amuro Tooru.

The “Detective Conan: Scientific Investigation Exhibition” focuses on “Detective Conan” and “scientific investigation.” It grandly opened in Tokyo in 2018, and was subsequently warmly received by audiences in Nagoya and Fukuoka. It is currently being exhibited in Osaka and will continue its tour in cities such as Nagasaki, Oita, and Miyazaki.

The exhibition scenario places Kogoro Mouri as a suspect in a murder case, and participants’ mission is to help clear his name. Upon entering, visitors can choose “Conan & Amuro Tooru” or “Conan & Ran Mouri” as their partner team, and receive an exclusive detective manual to begin the investigation in the exhibition zones. The exhibition is divided into three major areas: the “On-site Investigation Area” for collecting evidence, the “Clue Investigation Area” for gathering new intelligence, and the “Experiment Area” for scientific analysis of evidence. By following clues in these three areas, visitors can unravel the truth of the case and enjoy the thrill of tracking down the culprit and solving the mystery.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is Japan’s specially designed “Special Voice,” which is an audio guide rental service for the two investigation routes: Conan & Amuro Tooru, and Conan & Ran. For this edition, voice recordings in Chinese have been specially made by the original Taiwanese voice actors of the Detective Conan anime, allowing fans to follow familiar voices step-by-step through the clues for an immersive on-site investigation and uncover the truth. Fans will also be delighted by recreations of popular scenes such as the Mouri Detective Agency and Polo Cafe.
