Dreamy Iridescent Light X Spectacular Mountain Mist – A Million-Dollar Night View at the Dingshizhao Tea Plantation

Dreamy iridescent light, mountain mist, and cascading clouds create a dazzling array of seven-colored hues as light filters through layers of fog. Located along the Alishan Highway in Chiayi, the Dingshizhao Tea Plantation offers a million-dollar night view that takes your breath away every time you see it.

Dingshizhao on Alishan is a great spot for night photography. With its high-altitude mountain location near the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, it’s one of Taiwan’s most stunning hidden gems.

Iridescent light is created when artificial lighting refracts through the clouds and mist, producing a translucent, rainbow-like glow. Paired with cascading clouds and the Milky Way, it gives the illusion of being in a heavenly paradise.

In addition to enjoying the beauty of the tea plantation, the trails around Dingshizhao are must-visit hidden spots along the Alishan Highway. The Dingshizhao Trail Cluster is located near Shizhao along the Alishan Highway, where the Alishan Forest Recreation Area management has extended and improved existing paths.

Five trails have been developed: Mist Trail, Tea Trail, Cloud Trail, Sunset Glow Trail, and Cherry Blossom Trail. Together with the original connecting service roads, the total route spans about 5 kilometers, with an altitude ranging from 1,370 to 1,699 meters, and takes approximately two hours to complete.
