Fufuhuahuo is a newly completed residential complex project located in a prime spot in Taipei’s Zhongshan District. Despite being surrounded by bustling commercial areas, the tranquility of the alleyway remains undisturbed. Its high-quality exterior design often catches the eye of passersby.

Designed by Japanese architect Hiroharu Hirata, who was hailed by Toyo Ito as “Japan’s most energetic up-and-coming architect,” Fufuhuahuo embodies the core concept of architectural design in harmony with nature — creating buildings that feel alive.

The design of Fufuhuahuo faces south and uses a stepped-back structure to create ample terrace space. The rich layering and open spaces anticipate future plant growth, help reduce western sun exposure, and achieve a warm winter and cool summer effect.

The building’s rich green ecology not only reduces energy consumption but also blocks direct sunlight from entering the interior, lowering air conditioning loads and protecting indoor furniture from sun damage.
