Ugliest Starbucks sign removed quickly – Buy one get one free with receipts

This Starbucks Nangang Sanchong branch had been operating in the area for seven years. With its white metal exterior, it had a rare architectural style among Starbucks stores, and many believed the building fully embodied what is referred to as the "Republic of China aesthetics" unique to Taiwan.

The Starbucks Nangang Sanchong branch was also featured in a video by popular internet celebrity A-kuei Tsai (蔡阿嘎), which introduced the store to even more people. Located near Nangang Exhibition Center MRT Station and surrounded by relatively few other businesses, it was considered a highly visible and easily recognizable local landmark. Its sudden closure left locals feeling somewhat sentimental—"there's one less place to get coffee!"

The former Starbucks Nangang Sanchong branch is now empty, while the nearby 50 Lan (五十岚) is still in business.

In addition, customers can enjoy a buy one get one free promotion at designated nearby branches by presenting receipts from 2019 (Year 108 in Taiwan’s calendar).
