1. Taiwan’s Tourism Ambassador for Japan

Initially, after Lin Chi-ling’s rise in popularity, and given her prior short-term study in Japan and fluency in Japanese, from 2004 to 2006, she was invited by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to serve as the Taiwanese goodwill ambassador for the “VISIT JAPAN CAMPAIGN” aimed at doubling the number of Japanese tourists. She personally traveled to Japan to shoot advertisements, promoting Japanese tourism in both Chinese and Japanese. The “Rediscover Japan” series of programs and commercials left a deep impression.

2. China Airlines Ambassador

Later, Lin Chi-ling served as the ambassador for China Airlines for three years. Merchandise and calendars featuring her likeness became prized collectibles for many fans. From 2007 to 2009, she shot calendars for three consecutive years, including solo shots and photos with flight attendants, which many male fans eagerly collected.

These out-of-print calendars preserve Lin Chi-ling’s beauty before she turned 35.

3. Beautiful Flower Expo Goodwill Ambassador

In 2010, she served as the ambassador for the Taipei Flower Expo, known as the “Beautiful Flower Expo Goodwill Ambassador,” and even wrote and performed the theme song — the official song of the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition, “The Power of Beauty,” which amazed many with her singing and lyric-writing skills.
