BTS fans, get ready to make a pilgrimage trip to Busan — six major landmarks will be lit up in purple to show support in a super magical way

The globally popular Korean idol group BTS (Bangtan Boys) held fan meetings at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium on June 15 and 16. Throughout each night of the week during the event, six major landmarks in Busan were lit up in BTS’s signature color—purple—to welcome BTS and ARMY (the name for BTS fans), making the support absolutely epic!

1. Gwangan Bridge
A must-visit attraction in Busan, Gwangan Bridge offers breathtaking sea views during the day and dazzling night scenery. Until the evening of June 16, the bridge will be illuminated in purple lights to show support for BTS.
 
Transportation: Get off at Gwangan Station on the subway and walk for 5 minutes.

2. Busan Bridge
Until June 16, Busan Bridge will also be lit up in radiant purple. This steel arch bridge, standing 31 meters high, was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Busan Port and holds significant historical importance as a transportation landmark.
 
Transportation: Exit at Exit 10 or 8 of Nampo Station on the subway and walk for 10 minutes to reach the bridge.

3. Movie Hall
The “Movie Hall,” the main venue for the annual Busan International Film Festival, has also been turned purple these days. The venue has even specially displayed messages such as “BTS & ARMY IN BUSAN,” a must-take photo spot for fans.
 
Transportation: Exit at Exit 6 or 12 of Centum City Station on the subway and walk for 5 minutes to get there.

4. Busan Port Bridge
Busan Port Bridge is a highway cross-sea bridge that spans Busan Port. The bridge features colorful light shows at night, and throughout the week of the BTS fan meeting, it will glow in purple lights to welcome BTS.
 
Transportation: To view Busan Port Bridge, head to “Yeongdo Cheonghak Waterfront Park.” Get off at Exit 6 of Nampo Station on the subway, then transfer to Bus 66 and get off at Cheonghak Waterfront Park Station.
