Taiwan's torii gate attraction has emerged again—a red arch modeled after the eaves of a temple, resembling a Japanese torii gate yet incorporating Chinese elements, making it incredibly special. Hence, it's called the "Taiwan version of a torii gate," and its unique design has become a viral IG spot.

This "Taiwanese version of a torii gate" is actually the "Wenchang Overpass" next to Xinzhuang’s Wenchang Shrine. The bridge’s arches incorporate imagery from Taiwanese temples, with over a dozen red arches lined up neatly, creating an extremely spectacular photo opportunity.

The Wenchang Shrine nearby is also one of Xinzhuang’s must-visit spots. With a history of 200 years, Xinzhuang Wenchang Shrine is now designated as a municipal historic site. It remains bustling with worshippers, especially during major exam seasons when many students and parents come to pray to the God of Literature for success and to light blessing lamps.
