Eslite Xinyi Transforms into an Urban Art Gallery！Check Out Nine Stunning Art Creations First

Eslite’s 30th anniversary invites nine groups of highly anticipated “30-something” young creators to build a dreamlike “realm of dreams and imagination” at Eslite Xinyi. The exhibition will take place from June 28 to July 28 at Eslite Xinyi and is free to visit.

All nine artists are among Taiwan’s most creatively dynamic young talents, showcasing remarkable works across various fields — from the building’s exterior walls and escalators to all eight floors. In addition, Eslite Bookstore, Eslite Gallery, and the Clockwork Nose creative team will also curate large-scale thematic exhibitions, inviting visitors to step into a “realm of dreams and imagination” through interactive experiences with the exhibits.

Eslite sees itself as the best stage for art and design professionals. Luxury Logico, the creative team behind the Universiade torch and the “Listening to Flowers Bloom” mechanical installation at the Taichung Flower Expo, has installed 12 YCM robotic arms combined with light screens on the exterior wall of Eslite Xinyi. Amid the bustling Xinyi District, they present a poetic spectacle of technology and light.

Exploring the power of nature, Li Ji, who excels at using plants to converse with architectural spaces, seeks answers to integrating nature into urban life through her “mutant biomimetic” installations that combine plants, insects, and machinery. Every material has the ability to express itself. Food designer Chen Xiaoman has created a sensory laboratory, attempting to deconstruct the body’s visual, olfactory, tactile, and other sensory experiences to evoke memories of food.

The escalators inside Eslite Xinyi have been transformed by the dosomething studio team, led by Wang Zongxin, former visual art director for major award ceremonies. Through video interaction installations, the space has been turned into a giant scanner, allowing visitors moving through the escalators to co-create visual trajectories and leave behind the “silhouettes of their souls.” Beyond visuals, sound also has its own expression and soul. Yao Zhonghan has created a curtain of light tubes that interact with sound, giving light and shadow a vibrant, flickering life.
