To celebrate Wedgwood’s 260th anniversary this midsummer season, the special “Midsummer Strawberry City Tea House” has made its charming debut at the South Entrance Plaza of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi A8. From July 11 to July 21, this pop-up tea house will be open for 11 days!

Strawberries are hailed as the “miracle fruit” in Germany and have earned the title of the “Queen of Fruits.” As such, positive words like happiness, bliss, sweetness, indulgence, and joy are often associated with strawberries, making them synonymous with perfection and love. They have also won the favor of royal families in Britain and France. In the 14th century, French King Charles V ordered 12,000 strawberry plants to be planted in the royal gardens of the Louvre. Strawberry and leaf patterns were also meticulously hand-painted onto the milky-white “Queen’s China,” favored by Britain’s Queen Charlotte.
