Step into The Hunger Games and Twilight Saga worlds: VR brings six fantasy films to life

This summer’s newest theme park, “Lionsgate Entertainment World,” officially opened on July 31 in Hengqin, Zhuhai, China. It is Asia’s first indoor movie-themed interactive experience venue. The park transforms six globally beloved Hollywood film series—“The Hunger Games,” “Twilight Saga,” “Eye of the Beholder: Battle for the Throne,” “Divergent,” “Now You See Me,” and “Escape Plan”—into immersive real-life adventures, allowing visitors to step into fantastical cinematic worlds.

Spanning 22,000 square meters of indoor space, the venue offers over 30 interactive and immersive rides. By integrating cutting-edge technologies such as VR, AR, glasses-free wide-angle 3D imaging, and motion-capture human-computer interaction, it delivers an unprecedented entertainment experience. These include multiplayer VR motorcycles, VR indoor roller coasters, movie character missions, interactive illusion magic, and character dress-up activities.

With 30 interactive attractions, the Twilight Saga facilities include “Bella’s Secret” and the thrilling VR off-road motorbike ride “Midnight Chase,” where you speed through moonlit jungles alongside Jacob’s wolf pack. In “Eye of the Beholder: Eternal Battle,” ride a VR roller coaster through ancient Egypt for an epic showdown.
