International Gaming, E-Sports, Movies, Toys & Comics Expo Summer Grand Exhibition

The 20th Comics Expo in 2019 grandly opened from August 1 to August 5 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, and was also held concurrently with the “Taiwan Gaming, E-Sports & Virtual/Augmented Reality Industry Application Exhibition” and the “4th Taipei International Movies, Toys & Toy Creation Exhibition.” Purchasing a Comics Expo ticket allows you access to all exhibition areas with one pass.

This year’s theme, “Unlimited Anime & Comics,” makes it the only exhibition in Taiwan that integrates ACGE (Anime, Comics, Games, and Entertainment). In addition to planning a Japan-themed pavilion and inviting participants from other countries, the event showcases a rich array of anime works while incorporating creative industries related to e-sports, gaming, entertainment, education, toys, culture, drama, and music.

The highly anticipated autograph and meet-and-greet sessions at the Comics Expo invite popular international authors, illustrators, voice actors, producers, directors, idol groups, as well as domestic original creators. Over thirty domestic and international masters are expected to join in a marathon of autograph sessions and meet-and-greets.

The “Taiwan Gaming & E-Sports Exhibition,” which first debuted last year and quickly gained attention from the younger generation, adapted to the arrival of the “Gaming 3.0” era of eSports. The exhibition integrated value-added services, entertainment services, and O2O services on-site more seamlessly, featuring popular titles such as Saint Seiya, Onmyoji Academy, Onmyoji, and Fate/Grand Order.

Besides the hottest games, most exciting eSports competitions, and the latest gaming peripherals, well-known internet celebrities, entertainers, and professional commentators will also join in the excitement. The exhibition area, through diverse zones such as the “E-Sports Zone,” “Hardware & Peripherals Zone,” “Immersive Experience Zone,” and “Peripheral Industries Zone,” helps develop and connect the full e-sports and gaming industry chain.
