Taiwan’s First Ever Painted Night Market Opens in Daqing Night Market Covering 1,000 Ping

Operated and planned by the well-known “Hanxi Night Market” team from Taichung, the massive “Daqing Night Market” in southern Taichung, covering over a thousand ping, opened on August 17. With a theme centered around painted walls, it is set to become Taiwan’s first ever painted night market, expected not only to become a food hub but also to spark a wave of check-ins.

Located just a 10-minute walk from Daqing Station, Daqing Night Market is situated at the intersection of Jianguo South Road and Dongxing Road in southern Taichung, offering very convenient transportation for visitors. The surrounding area features painted walls depicting popular Taiwanese street foods such as stinky tofu, bubble tea, gua bao, and fruit skewers, echoing the vibrant look of Taiwan’s night market cuisine.

Daqing Night Market will host over 200 food stalls. It operates every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 PM to 1 AM, with many popular long-queue eateries setting up shop here to attract visitors from out of town.
