Nicknamed the “Garden City,” Singapore has many green buildings, including plant-themed areas even within its airport. The newly opened 2023 Mandai Resort in the Mandai district of Singapore covers an area of approximately 4.6 acres and is surrounded by trees, preserving native plants to allow guests to enjoy being enveloped by the forest.

The resort is located in Singapore’s Mandai nature reserve, which includes attractions such as the zoo, Night Safari, and River Safari. Designed with flora and fauna as inspiration, the resort centers around the theme of “Conscious Stay,” aiming to integrate ecological awareness into vacation experiences through a love for life.

The living spaces are designed based on the concept of elevated treehouses, shaped like seed pods.
To bring guests closer to nature, the accommodation features 24 elevated treehouses built in the shape of seed pods, raised several meters above the ground. This allows native wildlife to continue moving freely while guests immerse themselves fully in the natural surroundings. It also encourages awareness of the surrounding tropical rainforest ecology and conveys the core value of jointly protecting wildlife.

The structures are elevated several meters off the ground, allowing local wildlife to pass through and continue living on the land.
The Mandai Resort is committed to becoming Singapore’s first ultra-low energy consumption resort. It adopts sustainable and eco-friendly practices, featuring extensive natural ventilation, energy-saving air conditioning, solar panels, and the use of cool water to lower air temperature.

The rooms are well-ventilated and cool.
The resort also actively encourages guests to raise environmental awareness, reduce energy and water usage in rooms, and responsibly manage food waste, all while respecting the ecological environment of flora and fauna.
