In recent years, as health awareness has risen and fitness trends have gained momentum, TGI FRIDAYS, the leading American chain restaurant brand, has teamed up with World Gym, Taiwan’s largest chain of fitness clubs, to jointly promote the “2H Light Diet Movement,” advocating a “Healthier, Happier” lifestyle. Combining Mediterranean diet principles and muscle-building fitness concepts, they have carefully developed three “fitness-themed” meal series — “High-Protein Fitness Series,” “Healthy & Light Series,” and “Refreshing & Guilt-Free Series.” Eight new meals and drinks will be exclusively available from August 13, 2019, to October 7, 2019!

As part of this cross-industry collaboration, 14 TGI FRIDAYS locations across Taiwan will temporarily transform into “fashion-forward gyms,” featuring indoor cycling bikes and fitness equipment. They invite consumers island-wide to complete fitness mini-challenges and have also launched the [Live Well, Eat Well, Get Double Rewards!] promotional raffle event. [First Reward | Eat & Win] Customers who order any [Wellness Light Meal] dish (excluding drinks) at any TGI FRIDAYS location across Taiwan will receive one raffle ticket, with chances to win “One-Year Free Membership,” “Six-Month Free Membership,” or “Two-Month Free Membership” at World Gym. [Second Reward | Mini Challenge & Discount] Those who complete the fitness mini-challenge, take a photo at a TGI FRIDAYS restaurant, and post it with the hashtag #WellnessLightMeal can purchase a “Refreshing & Guilt-Free Series” Vitality Smoothie for just NT$99.

To offer consumers a healthier dining experience, TGI FRIDAYS, the leading American chain restaurant brand, has introduced five limited-time “Healthy & Light Series” meals and three drinks. With healthy eating concepts centered on “muscle gain,” “fat loss,” and “light meals,” they encourage not only active exercise but also nutritious, enjoyable, and worry-free eating.

1. First choice for those looking to reduce fat — “Healthy & Light Series”: Designed based on the Mediterranean diet principles of “high fiber, high calcium, and anti-oxidation” — the [Mediterranean Chicken Harvest Salad] features plenty of greens, sesame leaves, antioxidant-rich king of fruits — grapes, and natural grains, plus the specially selected “superfood” red quinoa in the [Garlic Parmesan Quinoa Salad], making it a great aid for balanced eating.

2. Essential for muscle gain — “High-Protein Fitness Series”: This series highlights two beloved protein sources among fitness enthusiasts — chicken and beef. For example, the [Harissa Grilled Chicken Prawns] features low-fat, high-protein chicken prepared by grilling, offering a refreshing and guilt-free option. Additionally, since beef contains nutrients like “zinc” and “magnesium” that support protein intake, there are two steak options — the [Sirloin Steak BBQ Rice] includes an 8oz sirloin steak grilled to medium-rare, served with green and red bell peppers and classic BBQ-flavored rice. The [Wellness Big New York] features a 12oz U.S. New York strip steak grilled to the ideal doneness, served with garlic mashed potatoes, grilled cauliflower, and broccoli, accompanied by mushroom sauce or black pepper sauce.
