“Tainan City Music Festival & Gentry Stroll LUCfest” is entering its third year this year and will be held over three lively days from November 8 to November 10 in downtown Tainan. The event includes a free outdoor main concert, showcase performances by over 50 domestic and international bands, as well as 8 international music conferences. This year, the Gentry Stroll has expanded even further and upgraded its venues, carefully selecting local Tainan spaces as performance venues. LUCfest Gentry Stroll Music Festival is Taiwan’s first-ever showcase music festival. In addition to performing artists, it widely invites renowned global music labels, music festival curators, tour managers, and media to Taiwan to discover Taiwan’s original music scene. Gentry Stroll is known for its exceptional matchmaking ability—successfully connecting Taiwanese bands such as Drift Out, The Fur., and Immortal Songs to go international. This year’s first wave of band announcements includes a surprise reunion with the fruit-throwing diva from last year’s nationwide cinema incident — Latvia’s ELIZABETE BALCUS is back on the Gentry stage once again. Also joining the lineup is the recently highly anticipated female rap newcomer Chen Xianjing, who garnered 900,000 YouTube views with just three songs. The first wave unveils 25 artists, and the list is making waves, sparking enthusiastic discussions among fans on Facebook.
