Besides the famous Liushishi Mountain in Hualien, there are other hidden gems where you can admire the dreamy yellow-orange seas of flowers. 1.Hualien – Chikeshan
 
Chikeshan is a renowned tourist destination famous for its golden needle flower seas. When the flowering season arrives between August and September each year, farmers are busy harvesting, sun-drying, and processing the flowers. In addition to the golden-yellow flower fields, visitors can also explore the famous “Three Scenic Spots of Chikeshan,” which include three black volcanic rocks nestled among the golden fields, the uniquely shaped Thousand-Ton Stone Turtle—a natural rock formation—and the over 40-year-old Wang Family Ancestral House.

2.Hualien – Liushishi Mountain
 
Every summer marks the season of the magnificent golden needle flower seas. During the annual Hualien Golden Needle Flower Festival, the vast fields atop Liushishi Mountain in Fuli burst into brilliant bloom. Covering an area of 60 hectares, the festival has introduced a new eco-tour combining daytime flower viewing with nighttime stargazing. Limited-edition “Flower Spike Rice” is also available for a short time during the season.

3.Taichung – Muxinquan Farm
 
Muxinquan Leisure Farm boasts over 8 hectares of expansive land and a high-altitude location, offering views of Wine Barrel Mountain and the Dajia River. At night, you can gaze at the starry sky above while overlooking the neon-lit cityscape of Taichung. 4.Nantou – Toushe Basin
 
Toushe Basin at Sun Moon Lake in Nantou is one of the world’s rare peat soil regions and the only basin-shaped grass peat area on Earth.
