Established in 1969, “Song Fa Bak Kut Teh” has been listed on Singapore’s Michelin Bib Gourmand guide for street food for three consecutive years. It’s a highly popular eatery in Singapore and a must-try for tourists, often drawing long queues.

“Initiator Bak Kut Teh” is slightly younger than “Song Fa Bak Kut Teh,” having been established in 1978. After a sibling separation, it was briefly known as “Fa Chuan Ren Bak Kut Teh.” The version that has come to Taiwan is “Initiator Bak Kut Teh,” which is also very popular locally in Singapore. Many celebrities have visited during their trips to Singapore, including JJ Lin, Jay Chou, and Angela Zhang, all of whom have taken photos at the outlet.

“Song Fa Bak Kut Teh” features melt-in-your-mouth pork rib bones along with a rich white pepper flavor, and its retro-style decor makes diners feel as though they’ve stepped back into the 1960s while enjoying the meal.
