Japanese matcha dessert specialty store "ICHIBA Matcha Lounge" has launched Mid-Autumn branded Daifuku Pancakes, nougats, financiers, and madeleines as part of their Mid-Autumn gift sets from now until September 15. All five branches are selling them, except for the white Lucky Daifuku Pancake, which is exclusive to the Banqiao Global branch. Additionally, on September 8th, the "108 Activity" offers any flavor Daifuku Pancake and a medium cup of iced matcha for just 108 TWD (originally 123–133 TWD).

The Banqiao Global pop-up store’s exclusive "White Lucky Daifuku Pancake" has a chewy, bouncy texture similar to mochi, with two filling options: red bean and matcha custard. Its white, round exterior resembles the bright full moon of Mid-Autumn, and it’s stamped with a "Happy Mid-Autumn" design to enhance the festive mood. Available in a pack of six, it’s perfect for sharing with family and friends during reunions.

The Mid-Autumn Daifuku Pancakes feature a "Happy Mid-Autumn" stamp on the exterior, with options for plain or matcha crusts, and a variety of fillings including red bean, custard, matcha custard, red bean matcha custard, and red bean warabi mochi. Made fresh on-site in 15 minutes, they have a rich, dense texture. Though the baking process creates tiny air pockets, making them slightly softer, they’re best enjoyed warm—or even cooled, when they become extra chewy.

The popular matcha and hojicha nougats have a rich tea aroma, soft and chewy texture, and are studded with crisp almonds for layered flavor. They’re not hard or sticky, and become more fragrant the more you chew—suitable for both elders and kids. Due to matcha’s sensitivity to temperature, humidity, and light, the nougats are packaged in opaque wrappers and sold refrigerated to maintain freshness.

With their dense, buttery richness, financiers pair wonderfully with the lighter, fluffier, and more delicate madeleines.
