Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation has partnered with Taipei City Xiahai City God Temple this time. Starting at 10:30 AM on September 11 (Wednesday), two days before the birthday of the God of Love (15th day of the 8th lunar month), the “Ride the Red Thread, Find Your Destiny” Yu Lao train tickets will be exclusively and long-term available at Shuanglian Station on the Red Line. To bless everyone with everlasting love and happy couples, the Yu Lao train tickets are specially designed as “2-Ride MRT Tickets” (valid for unlimited distance within the same day for 2 rides on Taipei MRT), each priced at NT$100, with a limit of 2 per person per purchase. The ticket cards are not reclaimed after activation. After purchasing, the ticket machine will print out a red “Destiny Fortune Poem,” which can be scanned via the QR code on the poem to download and keep as a souvenir. In addition, on the first day of sales, 500 small Yu Lao lucky bags will be given away for free with the ticket cards, while supplies last.

When purchasing, the ticket vending machine screen will display two options: “Single” and “Not Single.” After selecting one, silently think of the type of person or qualities you wish for in a partner. Once the ticket is purchased, the vending machine will print a red Destiny Fortune Poem for you to take home. You can also scan the QR code on the poem to download and keep it. For singles, Yu Lao will offer little tips to boost your romantic luck. For those already in a relationship, the receipt will randomly recommend dating activities in Dadaocheng and participating merchant offers.

Additionally, an online “Taipei Xiahai City God Temple × Taipei Rapid Transit — Starry Sky Bridge Lottery Event” has been launched. From September 11 to October 13, visit the Starry Sky Bridge between Shuanglian Station and Zhongshan Station on the MRT, take a photo capturing your unique love story under the bridge, upload it to the Taipei Xiahai City God Temple’s Facebook page, and let Yu Lao help you tie the red thread of love and protect your relationship. You can also win red-thread-themed prizes.
