Taiwan's only lighthouse hotel – a light-filled journey with breathtaking sea views

Northeastern Taiwan boasts enchanting bayscapes and unique hot-and-cold springs, with azure waters that rival those abroad. Along the harbor of Su’ao in Yilan stands an eye-catching, freestanding, all-white structure – Taiwan’s one and only lighthouse hotel “BRIGHTHOUSE光之旅.”

The newly opened seaside hotel “BRIGHTHOUSE” is located right next to the Doufu Cape in Nanfang’ao. Originally an old signal tower, it offers an exceptional sea-viewing spot. Coupled with the hotel’s curved design, its 180-degree unobstructed view ensures every room enjoys sweeping ocean vistas, attracting numerous celebrities and entertainers.

“BRIGHTHOUSE” has five floors in total, with interiors designed mainly in white to create a bright and spacious feel, offering guests a clean, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere. Currently, only 12 rooms are available for stay. The higher the floor, the higher the price and the better the view – its popularity often means rooms are hard to come by.
