Typhoon Mitag is approaching, and disaster prevention mechanisms across various counties and cities have been activated starting from the 29th. Please extend your gratitude to the workers who are making typhoon preparations in the wind and rain. During the typhoon, please comply with all measures, stay alert to changes in public transportation and tourist attractions, and prioritize safety.
Taiwan Railways: Services will operate as scheduled before 14:00; please stay updated on any changes afterward.
I. Western Trunk Line
(1) Tze-Chiang Limited Express:
1. Starting with Train No. 129 (originally departing Taipei at 14:00), services north of Hsinchu will be suspended; services south of Hsinchu will operate as usual.
2. Starting with Train No. 118 (originally departing Hsinchu at 13:50), services north of Hsinchu will be suspended; services south of Hsinchu will operate as usual.
(2) Chu-Kuang Express:
1. Train No. 561 (Changhua, 17:12) and No. 521 (Changhua, 19:40): Services north of Changhua will be suspended; services south of Changhua will operate as usual.
2. Train No. 510 (Changhua, 12:22), No. 562 (Changhua, 13:43), No. 516 (Changhua, 15:08), No. 554 (Changhua, 17:25), No. 522 (Changhua, 18:18): Services north of Changhua will be suspended; services south of Changhua will operate as usual.
3. Train No. 1 will run as far as Hualien; services north of Hualien will be suspended. Train No. 2 will run as far as Hsinchu; services north of Hsinchu will be suspended.
(3) Local Trains:
Starting from 14:00, services north of Hsinchu will operate flexibly depending on weather conditions; services south of Hsinchu will operate as usual.
II. Eastern Trunk Line:
(1) Scheduled Trains:
1. Trains from Taipei to Hualien starting with No. 228 (originally departing Taipei at 13:10) will be suspended; trains from Taipei to Taitung starting with No. 432 (originally departing Taipei at 15:09) will be suspended.
2. Trains from Hualien to Taipei starting with No. 223 (originally departing Hualien at 13:58) will be suspended; among them, Train No. 273 (originally departing Hualien at 13:26) and No. 175 (originally departing Hualien at 13:00) will run only as far as Shulin, with services south of Shulin suspended.
3. Trains from Taitung to Taipei starting with No. 653 (originally departing Taitung at 11:22) will run only as far as Hualien.
(2) Local Trains: Starting from 12:00, services will operate flexibly depending on weather conditions.
III. Hualien–Taitung Section: All train services will operate as usual.
IV. South-Link Line (Xinzuoying–Taitung Section): All train services will operate as usual.
V. Pingxi Line, Shen’ao Line: Services will be suspended after 12:00; Neiwan Line: Services will be suspended after 14:00; Liujia Line will operate as usual; all other branch lines will operate as usual.
High-Speed Rail: Normal Operations
In response to Typhoon Mitag, Taiwan High Speed Rail has activated its typhoon response center and is monitoring the storm’s movements along the entire line 24/7. Based on current meteorological data, the impact of Typhoon Mitag on high-speed rail operations on the 30th is expected to be limited. Therefore, Taiwan High Speed Rail will maintain normal service today, with all trains departing according to the published schedule.
As the typhoon path remains fluid, THSR will gather further information before finalizing the operational plan for October 1st, which will be announced by 20:00 on the 30th.
During the typhoon, to ensure safety, if wind speeds or rainfall exceed operational limits, trains may reduce speed accordingly.

Taipei MRT: Services Running with Extended Intervals
Wenhu Line, Tamsui–Xinyi Line, and Zhonghe–Xinlu Line: Trains will run approximately every 15 minutes (approximately every 7.5 minutes on overlapping sections such as Beitou Station–Xiangshan Station and Nanshijiao Station–Daqiaotou Station).
The Songshan-Xindian Line (Songshan Station to Xindian Station) and the Banqiao-Nangang Line (Dingpu Station to Nangang Exhibition Center Station) have intervals of approximately 10 minutes, with no overlapping sections.
(Note: Intervals on each line may be adjusted based on passenger volume and wind speed, and service on ground-level or elevated sections may be temporarily suspended.)
Services operated by Taipei Metro, including Maokong Gondola, Lost and Found Service Center, Metro Mall, Beitou Guest House, Children’s Amusement Park, and Taipei Arena Ice Rink, are all temporarily suspended.
The Muzha Depot parking lot is offering free parking in accordance with the city government’s evacuation gate closure policy, while other parking lots remain in normal operation.

Taoyuan Airport MRT is operating normally.
Tamsui Light Rail has adjusted operations in the afternoon.
The Danhai Light Rail trains will operate normally until noon on the 30th, with intervals of 15 minutes starting from 6:00 AM. Intervals may be adjusted or services may be suspended later depending on the typhoon conditions.
