Located in Dajia District, Taichung, Zhongyue Mountain boasts a vast grassland area that includes an artillery observation post. From here, you can enjoy stunning views over Dajia District, as well as the scenic beauty of Waipu District, coastal areas of Da’an District—all within a sweeping panorama. This lesser-known, largely undeveloped grassland offers expansive vistas and a refreshing escape from the crowds.

Rinnan Station was opened on October 11, 1922, and stands as one of the few remaining historic railway stations in Taiwan. It is also one of the five surviving wooden stations along the Coastal Line, featuring a hip-and-gable roof inspired by Western-Japanese architectural styles.

The Hometown of Artisans Leisure Agriculture Area was once home to nationally renowned craftsmen skilled in rush weaving. The area features a 4-kilometer cycling path that connects the fishing port and seawall. Blending the rural charm of Dajia with hands-on nature experiences, visitors can try their hand at traditional kiln firing, as well as activities such as mat weaving, farming, local rice dishes, straw crafts, face smoothing, and exploring pebble beaches—offering an authentic taste of countryside life and eco-friendly recreation.

Dajia Tianhou Temple, also known as Zhenlan Temple, is one of Taiwan’s most famous Mazu temples, boasting a history of over 200 years. It attracts constant streams of worshippers year-round. The annual Mazu pilgrimage held every March has grown into a world-class religious event, drawing visitors from around the globe. It is the most iconic attraction in Dajia.
