The Nanfang’ao Cross-Harbor Bridge was also once the main venue for Yilan County’s Qixi Valentine’s Day events. When the bridge was lit up, it transformed into a romantic “Magpie Bridge,” offering a magical nighttime view of the fishing harbor.

Many visitors pass over the Nanfang’ao Cross-Harbor Bridge on their way to Su’ao, and after crossing the bridge, they arrive at the beautiful Tofu Cape, where the azure coastline and rugged rock formations create a hidden gem for sea views and relaxation.

For those wanting to enjoy the view of Su’ao Port, the Nanfang’ao Observation Deck is highly recommended. From there, you can take in the scenic harbor area and, in the past, catch a glimpse of the Nanfang’ao Bridge — a view that no longer exists.
