The end of the year brings a dazzling array of festivals and events to Macau, with the whole city immersed in a joyful atmosphere — now is the perfect time to visit!

These include the 66th Macau Grand Prix and the 19th Macau Food Festival in November, as well as the 38th Macao Grand Prix International Marathon by Galaxy Entertainment, the 4th Macao Light Festival, the 4th Macao International Film Festival & Awards, the Macao International Parade of Lights, plus festive Christmas light displays and spectacular New Year’s Eve countdown fireworks in December.
Macau Grand Prix
This year’s 66th Macau Grand Prix takes place from November 14 to 17, with the high-caliber racing event boasting a history of over 60 years — making it Macau’s largest international competition. The Grand Prix features exciting racing categories such as motorcycles, touring cars, and Formula 3, with competing vehicles speeding along the Guia Circuit formed by Macau’s city streets.
During the qualifying rounds and the races themselves, visitors flock to the city, and the entire area buzzes with excitement and adrenaline. The roar of engines echoes through the streets while colorful advertising banners flutter in the wind. Life in Macau seems to accelerate in sync with the race. The Macao Special Administrative Region – Tourism Board has specially collaborated with five travel agencies — Five Star Travel, JiDi Travel, Southeast Travel Agency, Lion Travel, XiHong Holidays, and CanSing Travel — to launch Macau Grand Prix tour packages. Purchasing a Grand Prix tour package from any of these partner agencies includes one ticket to the final race day.

19th Macau Food Festival
In conjunction with the annual international sporting event “Macau Grand Prix,” the Macau Food Festival is held from November 8 to 24 at Sai Van Lake Square, offering visitors a vibrant and unforgettable culinary carnival. The festival showcases famous local and international delicacies, including Asian, Southeast Asian, European, Chinese, Macanese flavors, and desserts, across more than 100 food stalls across multiple food zones. There will also be a series of entertaining performances, including pop and nostalgic music, dance, magic, martial arts, as well as beer-drinking competitions and fun game booths.

Macao International Marathon
The annual Macao International Marathon takes place on December 1. Since its inception in 1981, it has attracted numerous elite long-distance runners from Macau and abroad every year. The marathon features three events: the International Marathon that loops through Macau, Taipa, and Coloane, as well as a Half Marathon and a Mini Marathon. Both the Half Marathon and Mini Marathon attract many amateur athletes eager to test their endurance.
In the days leading up to and following the race, a wave of marathon fever sweeps through the city. Whether you're a regular marathoner or just in it for fun, the Macao International Marathon offers something for everyone. The Macao Tourism Board has also partnered with eight travel agencies — Five Star Travel, Wing Yip Travel, Happy Holiday Travel, JiDi Travel, Southeast Travel Agency, Lion Travel, XiHong Holidays, and CanSing Travel Network — to offer a 3-day, 2-night Macao Grand Prix International Marathon tour package, allowing participants to enjoy Macau’s stunning sights while running.
