1.Huilan Store-Pure white container structure
The Huilan Store’s container building was designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, featuring an eye-catching design built by stacking containers like blocks. Additionally, the walls and interior incorporate patterns inspired by Taiwan’s indigenous Amis tribe, highlighting the island’s cultural diversity.

2.Grass Mountain Store-Former U.S. military housing
Built from a 1950s U.S. military dependents’ residence, this single-story wooden structure sits amid beautiful greenery. It features a fireplace and, unlike other stores, is divided into four indoor spaces — a living room, dining area, family gathering spot, and sunlit lounge — complemented by cherry blossom trees and a grassy lawn outdoors, offering Starbucks fans a uniquely homely and tranquil experience.

3.Cloud Door Store-Performing arts venue
To celebrate 20 years of Starbucks in Taiwan, the company opened its first-ever store adjacent to a performing arts space next to the Cloud Gate Theatre in Tamsui. Blending artistry with nature, the store offers views of Guanyin Mountain and the Tamsui River estuary, providing a peaceful and secluded ambiance where visitors can savor coffee while immersing themselves in culture.

4.Matsu Store-Local cultural elements
This is Starbucks’ first store in Matsu, not only the northernmost location in Taiwan but also the only one equipped with heating. The store design reflects Matsu’s unique characteristics, incorporating the famed "blue tears" ocean phenomenon as well as local materials such as “Eastern Fujian-style stone houses” and “traditional bamboo sun-drying racks.”
