The Lincupi Kapok Avenue in Baihe was listed by a Spanish travel website in 2015 as one of the world’s 15 most beautiful flower-filled walking paths. From January to March each year when the kapok blossoms are in full bloom, the avenue attracts many visitors.

The breathtaking mountain and lake scenery of Dream Lake resembles an ink-wash landscape painting. Coupled with its hard-to-reach location, it has a more secluded vibe compared to Sun Moon Lake. Part of the upper reaches of the Wushantou Reservoir, the lake offers different views in each season—lush greenery under the bright sun in summer and autumn, and a mystical, otherworldly feel in winter and spring with bare trees and mist.

The Erliao Sunrise Pavilion is a famous spot for watching the sunrise. In addition to unique mountain landscapes nearby—such as the Grand Canyon, Jurassic, and Horse Head formations—the elevated pavilion offers a view of the morning mist in the valley, making it the best spot to witness the ever-changing beauty of the sunrise, terrain, and sky.

The upstream area of Nanhua Reservoir features numerous waterfalls and valleys. There’s a serene waterfall with a cave in a large rock by its pool that resembles a water curtain cave. Other attractions include the Kuzitou Stream for stream trekking, the Santai Sacred Tree, and the Dachu Fire Pit. The stunning scenery here is incredibly soothing for tired minds and bodies.
