The 2019 Taoyuan International Kite Festival took place from October 19 to 20, bringing together nearly 20 national kite enthusiasts and presenting a spectacular sight of thousands of kites flying in unison.

This year’s kite festival was held at Zhongzhuang Landscape Mound, where the most eye-catching kite was a 13-meter-long Aladdin-shaped kite. In addition, nearly 20 international kite teams from countries including Switzerland, France, the United States, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan joined in the celebration, creating a grand kite extravaganza.

Themed around fairy tales, the kite festival not only featured kites from various countries flying together but also included multiple performance activities. These included stunt kite shows, gyroscope performances, and singing and dancing acts, offering both auditory and visual delights alongside kite-flying fun.
