Penghu isn't just home to the Double-Heart Stone Weir. The Single-Heart Stone Weir on Jibei is a super popular IG check-in spot. Jibei was once the township with the most stone weirs in Taiwan, and this single-heart stone weir remains well-preserved to this day and still functions for fishing. Travelers wanting to come for great photo ops should keep an eye on the tides—you can’t see the stone weir during high tide. Also, the reef rocks that make up the stone weir are sharp, and the sea winds in Penghu are strong, so be sure to stay safe while enjoying the scenery.

Bonus: An ultra-dreamy and stunning hidden gem is located along the midsection of the west coast of Siyu in Penghu, right next to Chixi Basalt Columns—the Chixi Rock Waterfall. It gets its name from the appearance of water flowing over the fish-scale-like rock formations after rain, resembling a waterfall. Another explanation is that the rock’s curved joint structure resembles a torrent of galloping water rushing toward the sea.

There’s also the Dongshi Eco Park in Huxi Township, Penghu, located near the seashore. Its most famous feature is a maze of stone walls made from coral stones. The area was originally Penghu’s earliest landfill site but was decommissioned due to land saturation. The local township office repurposed it into a park, adding walking paths and land art installations.
