Ancient Site Transforms into Cat Castle: A New Must-Visit Family-Friendly Attraction That’s Super Cute

Located in Nantou, there is a building full of cats—“Rosie Family - Nantou Tax Office”—which officially opened in June this year. However, even during its trial run earlier in the year, it attracted many cat lovers and family tourists. From the inside out, you can see the figures of Rosie’s feline family, which is extremely adorable.

The “Nantou Tax Office” is a historical building from the Japanese colonial period, originally serving as an official building for handling tax affairs in Nantou. Later, the team behind the Ghost Village in Shuishe moved in to renovate and reorganize it. Drawing inspiration from the “Malo Stream,” the river that nurtures Nantou, they created the Rosie Family, turning it into an ultra-cute new tourist attraction.

The first floor of the building features a merchandise area offering a wide variety of Rosie Family-themed goods. The decor resembles the interior of a fairy-tale castle, with drinks, light meals, desserts, and souvenirs available. There is also a “Little Princess Ice Bar,” while the second floor is designed as a café with the luxurious and stylish charm of old Shanghai—perfect for photos. There is also a large indoor children’s play area where you can let your kids play safely.
