Longqi is located at the southeastern tip of Tainan. Due to its terrain and soil conditions, many residents have relocated to downtown Tainan, making it currently the least populated district in Tainan. However, its unique landscape and beautiful scenery have turned it into a popular spot for photographers. Spend a weekend with your family exploring Longqi!

Longchuanwo is situated in the relatively flat area of Longchuan Mountain, which stands about 351 meters above sea level. The name “Longchuanwo” comes from the basin-like depression on the mountain top that resembles a dragon boat. It’s a quiet little village with only around 30 households residing there permanently. Located at a high point with wide views, it often attracts travelers for hiking and mountaineering, and has also become a popular stargazing spot during meteor showers. Aside from Erliao, it’s also one of the best places to watch a low-altitude sunrise.

Located in Niupu Village, Longqi District, Tainan City, this pond was initially built by the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau of the Council of Agriculture using natural engineering methods to collect water in the valley for soil and water conservation and rural landscape development. Unexpectedly, it became hugely popular. The serene lake surface combined with the chalky hillsides makes it a favorite among photographers at dusk. People also come to stroll along the lakeside walking trail. It takes about two hours to slowly walk around the entire park area.

Named for its mountain shape resembling a fierce tiger crouching in dominance, Huxing Mountain has earned this imposing title. At an elevation of 113 meters, the park sees few visitors, making it a hidden gem among Tainan’s many backcountry areas. The park features both mountain and water elements, is located within the sparsely populated Longqi District, and maintains excellent environmental conditions with rich natural ecology — wildlife is often spotted here.

Built in 1998, the Wenheng Temple in Longqi District is dedicated to Guan Shengdi Jun (Guan Yu), and is one of the important spiritual centers in the area. In recent years, it has gained fame and widespread popularity due to its display of imported life-size models including Iron Man, Transformers, and the Avengers. The Wenheng Temple, which harmoniously blends devout faith, traditional art, and popular films, is not only rare in Taiwan but also one of the few such religious landmarks internationally!
