Spanning the Alishan District and Tianliao District, Dage Mountain is a popular destination for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts during the day. Come nightfall, its elevated position offers a sweeping panoramic view where you can take in the undulating, water-like patterns of the lighting along National Freeway No. 2 South — making it one of the most popular spots for night scenery viewing on Dage Mountain.

The Dragon and Tiger Towers, affiliated with the Ciji Temple directly opposite, feature two uniquely designed towers in striking colors. According to local legend, “entering the dragon’s mouth and exiting the tiger’s” brings great fortune, making these towers beloved by domestic visitors and an intriguing custom for international tourists.

Zhongdu Wetland Park features three suspension bridges, where visitors can observe the mangrove ecosystem on the water’s surface. There’s also a central ecological bridge and a waterside scenic area, often frequented by birds such as little egrets, purple swamphens, tree sparrows, and kingfishers that gracefully skim the water and perch along the shore. The pond is also home to mudskippers and fiddler crabs, allowing people to sit nearby and enjoy an up-close connection with nature.

Covering approximately 3 hectares, Niaosong Wetland is Taiwan’s first educational park themed around artificial wetlands, boasting a rich diversity of ecological resources including birds, insects, and plants. Located next to the expansive Chengcing Lake, it serves as an excellent outdoor ecological learning site. On weekends, ecological interpretation activities are held, and along the wooden boardwalks, you can spot mallards, purple swamphens, and little egrets gliding through the wetland waters.
