As the festive season approaches, many regions have begun hosting light festival events. The 2020 Taoyuan Light Festival, themed "The Peach Blossom Spring of Light," features three major light zones set up in Pingzhen Xinxing Park, Zhongli Guangming Park, and the Laotaoxi Riverside Park. It officially opened on January 31st and will run until February 12th.

The main visual of the 2020 Taoyuan Light Festival kicks off with the first light of the year. Through the dawning light that suddenly appears over the shimmering pond surfaces of Taoyuan, the City of a Thousand Ponds, thousands of irrigation ponds refract a fantastical and colorful peach blossom forest. The three major light zones include the Soaring Dawn (Rat) Light Zone, the Earthly Dawn (Rat) Light Zone, and the Galactic Dawn (Rat) Light Zone.

The Soaring Dawn (Rat) Light Zone is held at Pingzhen Xinxing Park and features light decorations such as an aviation show, sky canopy, sky bridge, forest, maze, as well as light installations including Sparkling Umbrellas, the Light Prayer Sphere, Starry Sea Glaze, Pearl Light Falling Jade, Light Ramble, and Light Fantasy Realm—mesmerizing lights that surround the park inside and out.

The Earthly Dawn (Rat) Light Zone is set up at Zhongli Guangming Park and is decorated with light installations such as a Flower Carpet Show, Clouds, Flowers Blooming on Earth, Castle, Light Rat Kingdom, Welcome Light Forest, Night Market, and Garden—combining lighting with floral elements to create a dazzling light festival.
