Due to the influence of a continental cold air mass and the eastward movement of a cloud band from southern China, snow began to fall on Hehuan Mountain this morning, with snow accumulation reaching 10 centimeters. Many people rushed to Wuling on Hehuan Mountain upon hearing the news to admire the rare silver-white scenery.

The Central Weather Bureau stated that due to the influence of the continental cold air mass, high mountains above 3,000 meters in central Taiwan have a chance of snowfall as long as there is sufficient moisture. Starting from 6 a.m. on the 13th, vehicles entering or exiting the section between km 24 and km 41 on Provincial Highway 14A must be equipped with snow chains to prevent skidding.
