The world’s largest mechanical flower, "Listen to the Blooming – Eternal Daylight Heart," makes a redesigned appearance at the 2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival. The original design team was invited to create this piece, which consists of 697 modular units, structured with space trusses, mechanical motors, and a sound and lighting system. It combines island skylight, electronic lighting, and musical rhythms, flowing between day and night and blending with the Earth’s natural soundscape.

Located at the end of the corridor, in the center of a vast square, white light ripples and flows, resembling birds in flight or twinkling stars. Whether you walk along the pathway or sit on the ground at the Listening Square, you can enjoy the light and motion of the artwork. The opening and closing of the installation may seem like mathematical movements at first glance, but upon closer inspection, every moment of linkage and speed is full of vitality, merging with the daylight and environment to create a dynamic beauty where technology and nature coexist.

The "2020 Taiwan Lantern Festival" grandly opens in Houli, Taichung from February 8 to 23, with the official lighting ceremony taking place in the Forest Park area on the day of the Lantern Festival. The Central Lantern Area, where the "Listen to the Blooming – Eternal Daylight Heart" is located, adopts the theme "Fantasy Forest Realm" for its layout. Based on sustainability and incorporating local characteristics, it follows the design concept of "one flower with five leaves," extending outward from the main lantern. It consists of five distinctive lantern zones: the "Technology Performance Lantern Zone," "Art Innovation Lantern Zone," "Joy Lantern Zone," "Traditional Lantern Zone," and "International Friendship Lantern Zone."

"Listen to the Blooming – Eternal Daylight Heart" combines the magnificent soundtrack of symphony and electronic music, merging light points with mechanics into a dreamlike and touching experience. This time, in addition to donning a white pearlescent coat, it will also incorporate computer light special effects to showcase eternal daylight fantasies, bringing a full sense of happiness.
