January 11th is the presidential election voting day. Many people have already planned to return home to vote, but some feel that the transportation costs and time don’t work out, so they don’t intend to go back. Rihui International Resort in Taitung has launched the “Free Stay at Rihui for Voting” campaign, targeting those who are returning home to vote or traveling nearby, hoping to attract voters back home while also boosting their occupancy rate.

Residents registered in Hualien and Taitung who book a room by phone at Rihui International Resort from January 9th to 10th and check in with their ID card can enjoy a free stay in either the “Rihui Main Building” or “Little Rihui,” with 10 rooms available per location per day.

In addition, there are dining discounts too. From January 9th to 11th, residents of Hualien and Taitung can enjoy a 20% discount at Rihui restaurants by presenting their ID card. Hualien and Taitung residents aged 65 or above can enjoy a 30% discount when dining at the Sunflower Western Restaurant or the Butterfly Orchid Chinese Restaurant.

With the opening of the Su-Hua Highway Improvement Project (Su-Hua Highway Improvement) and the New South-Link Highway on Provincial Highway 9 (Southern Section of Provincial Highway 9), transportation convenience to Hualien and Taitung has improved once again. Travelers now have the option of taking national highway buses to the region, which can be utilized for returning home to vote and also come with hotel discounts.
