Where do Chinese travelers most want to go? Northern Europe becomes a popular new choice

Travel is a great way for many people to relax and recharge. A major domestic travel agency conducted a large-scale survey on Chinese people’s travel intentions and found that the most favored travel season is the cool autumn, and the most popular overseas destination—surprisingly—is “Northern Europe.”

According to the survey data,the crisp and pleasant autumn is the most popular travel season among Chinese people, accounting for nearly 40% of choices,while summer also received close to 30% support, likely influenced by the summer vacation period. Additionally,the most desired overseas destinations among Chinese travelers surprisingly lean toward Northern Europe,，making up 12.4% of the preferences.In the past, destinations with long histories and rich cultures such as Italy, the UK, or France were more popular, but now the remote and pristine lands of Northern Europe have become the favorite travel spots for Chinese people.

In addition, regarding preferred travel styles, independent travel and group tours each received about 30% support. “Semi-independent travel styles also garnered nearly 25% support, showing that while Chinese travelers desire freedom in their journeys, they still hope to have professional services such as guided tours or assistance with booking itineraries, flights, and accommodations.
