Is it Aladdin or Disney? A Japanese travel enthusiast introduced a place where elegant white architecture, bathed in soft natural and artificial light, looks exactly like a scene from a fairy tale. Moreover, the stunning structure features numerous domes that resemble scoops of ice cream from afar.
The place he introduced is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is the largest and most magnificent mosque in the country. In addition to its 82 domes, the mosque is also famous for its over 1,000 gold-decorated columns along the arcades, the world’s largest crystal chandelier, and the world’s largest Persian carpet, which spans 5,700 square meters. It is said that the entire mosque cost around $550 million to build.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the few religious sites that allow non-Muslim visitors, making it a popular tourist attraction. However, guests must strictly adhere to visiting etiquette: women must wear a headscarf and have no bare limbs, while men are not allowed to wear shorts. Clothing rental services are available outside the mosque if needed.
