Located in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu, Dong’an Ancient Bridge is an old-style circular arch bridge built in the eighth year of the Showa era during Japanese rule (1933 AD), and is the most historic and spectacular bridge in Guanxi.

As stone-built ancient bridges are quite rare and highlight the rich diversity of Hsinchu, it has been designated as a county-level historic site. Its elegant appearance and integration with the surrounding scenery have gradually made it one of Hsinchu’s must-visit attractions.

Dong’an Ancient Bridge spans both banks of the Niulang River, which has now been transformed into a water-friendly park and serves as a model for river restoration in Hsinchu.
