Located in Taiping Mountain, Datong Township, Yilan, “Jiu-Zhi-Ze Hot Spring” is enveloped year-round by lush green forests and mist, featuring diverse landscapes such as natural woods, hot springs, and alpine lakes. Surrounded by verdant greenery and misty fog, soaking in the clear open-air hot springs feels like being in a fairyland. After your soak, you can walk along the Taiping Mountain trails and enjoy the forest’s phytoncides.

Artistic Style – Yilan Jiaoxi Cong-Zao Artistic Onsen Rooms
The name “Cong-Zao” is derived from Yilan’s famous local product “scallions” and is also a playful homophone for “take a shower.” Originally a nearly 40-year-old Japanese-style hot spring inn, it has been renovated with bright white tiles and creatively humorous art-covered walls. Examples include the “Hippo Bathhouse” covered in hippopotamus murals, or the “Lush White Bath” with falling leaves, making these artistic onsen rooms a popular spot for photos.
In Wulai, the Fleur de Lys Hot Spring Resort features small bamboo rafts floating on emerald-green pools, nestled beside the area’s pristine streams and forest.
