Shuangxi District is located in the eastern part of New Taipei City and is named after the convergence of the Peony Stream and the Pinglin Stream. The area is mountainous, boasting abundant mountain and forest scenery as well as hidden river valley gems. It is also one of the few mercury mining sites in Taiwan. Due to the large and brightly colored lotus flowers in Shuangxi District, an annual grand Lotus Festival is held every July, inviting travelers to admire the beauty of the lotuses, enjoy a lotus feast, and participate in photography and sketching competitions.

Located at the highest point of the intersection between Shuangxi and Jiufen on Provincial Highway 102 in New Taipei City, “Buyan Pavilion” not only offers a distant view of Ruifang but also encompasses the blue sea scenery in the distance, making it one of the most beautiful highway landscapes in Taiwan.
Transportation: Drive from Taipei via Highway 102 through Jiufen toward Shuangxi. The pavilion on the right side at the highest point is Buyan Pavilion.

Located beside the Pinglin section of the Jifu Highway, the Soft Bridge Section Waterfront Park boasts beautiful scenery and clear stream water. Built using ecological engineering methods and with successful river closure and fishing bans, it has become a great spot for families to enjoy fish viewing and playing in the water. You can also access the Lotus Garden and bicycle paths via the path next to the rice fields to admire the lotuses or go on a family bike ride.

The Thirteen-Level Waterfront Park is surrounded by lush green mountains and forests, offering a refreshing atmosphere with blue skies, white clouds, and a gentle breeze. The park features murmuring streams, green grass, terraced farmlands nearby, and scattered houses, creating a simple and elegant place perfect for finding tranquility.
