HeyTea posted a statement on Weibo on August 5, emphasizing support for "one country, two systems," which drew widespread dissatisfaction among Taiwanese consumers. This led to a boycott, with many pledging not to buy the brand's drinks, and even sparked a movement advocating for giving up beverages to support Taiwan. Since August, nearly 30 stores have closed, and now it has been reported that the Houbi Zhongzheng store has also announced its closure.
