If you love camping in remote, off-the-beaten-path spots, that’s totally Pixsoul style. We enjoy that “whole place to ourselves” feeling — nature, freedom, no crowds. This winter, instead of heading out to sea, we opted for something more laid-back: camping at Big Wave Bay Campsite on Lantau Island — one of the few campsites recommended by Jowy.

Feature #3: Lots of camping facilities, only lacking tables and chairs, has water supply, close to the beach

But this time we wanted to fall asleep to the sound of waves, wake up to the ocean view — so we went with beach camping.
Big Wave Bay Campsite is actually located further inland at Pak Kok. It’s a few hundred meters away from (and at a fork in the road near) Big Wave Bay / Big Wave Bay Village. We arrived in separate groups (some couldn’t even get on the van XD), and as a result, the group that came later mistakenly went into Big Wave Bay Village.
Making do with what you’ve got is part of the fun of camping — and it’s obvious who the boss is
