Located on the western coast of Taoyuan, the Guanyin District boasts not only beautiful sandy dune coastlines but also abundant natural scenery, including farms and orchards. Situated along the Guanyin coastline, the Bai Sha Jiao Lighthouse stands approximately 37 meters tall, second only to the Eluanbi Lighthouse in Kenting. It is the only lighthouse in Taiwan constructed with red bricks and stones, unlike others made of concrete. The circular pathway beside the lighthouse features a blue-and-white bell tower, offering a romantic Mediterranean vibe.

Covering an area of 18,000 pyeong, Xiangyang Farm is the largest sunflower-themed farm in northern Taiwan. From May to October each year, towering sunflowers form vast golden fields, creating a spectacular sight. Admission to the farm is free. In addition to expansive seasonal flower gardens, the farm also offers a brick oven area, outdoor educational activities, DIY experiences, souvenirs, and a themed restaurant.

Originally intended as the Golden Lake View Restaurant in Guanyin District, the project drew local attention from the early stages — from transporting a real plane to constructing the restaurant building — until it was eventually demolished due to illegal construction. However, the plane remained on-site and has since become a popular spot for netizens to visit and take photos. Getting up close with a real airplane has turned it into an offbeat attraction.

During the Japanese colonial period, Pingtian Cultural Landscape Park served as an important receiving station for wireless communication between Taiwan and the international community. After being abandoned, the Taoyuan City Urban Development Bureau preserved the natural landscape and wooded areas, transforming the site into the current Pingtian Cultural Landscape Park — now a forested hidden gem in Taoyuan.
