To promote tourism in the outer islands, the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration, following the “Ride into Battle, Dismount to Explore” campaign, has launched an enhanced version of the Travel Passport along with a new “Matsu Card? Travel Passport & Stamp Rewards” event. From now until May 31, among the returned 2009 Matsu Card? Travel Passport ballot forms sent back to the Administration, an additional 10 bottles of “Mazu in Matsu Commemorative Liquor” will be given away as lucky draw prizes – a must-have collectible for liquor enthusiasts.
The “Ride into Battle, Dismount to Explore” campaign launched by the Administration has been well received, attracting many participants. It has not only significantly increased tourist visits to Matsu but also boosted the visibility and reputation of group tours to the area. To further build on the success of “Ride into Battle, Dismount to Explore,” the Administration has revamped the Matsu Card? Travel Passport and expanded the “Stamp & Win Rewards” program. Those who send back their stamped Travel Passport ballot forms by the end of May will have a chance to win limited-edition “Mazu in Matsu Commemorative Liquor.”
The newly redesigned Travel Passport features exquisite printing, improved readability, and greater convenience. With outdoor readability in mind, the paper quality and font size have been adjusted, and the included pull-out map makes it easier for travelers to access information. Visiting Matsu during the winter break, you can enjoy the sweet and fresh “Three Treasures of Matsu”: Chinese cabbage, radish, and napa cabbage. Don’t miss the nourishing perch soup. Beyond the delicious food, you can also earn “Ride into Battle, Dismount to Explore” reward money and take part in the “Stamp & Win More Rewards” event.
This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration.
