Having bid farewell to the shadow of the Red Shirt protests in April and May, the streets of Bangkok are gradually regaining their former vibrancy and energy, reclaiming the charm of Asia’s fashion capital. To help restore travelers’ confidence in visiting Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and local tourism operators have launched a series of appealing activities, hoping that visitors can once again experience the joys of exploring Thailand.

First, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is currently conducting an enthusiastic “Tourist Confidence Survey,” aiming to understand the current level of confidence Taiwanese travelers have in visiting Thailand through this online initiative. The goal is also to position Thailand as one of the most favored travel destinations in the future. By simply filling out personal details and answering questions related to traveling in Thailand, participants can enter a lucky draw. Prizes include 250 early bird awards, which come with specially designed travel tags and eco-friendly tote bags from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, as well as other rewards such as Polo shirts and travel bags. The grand prize is a free trip to Bangkok—with one winner allowing two people to go together. The campaign runs from June 21 to July 20, with the draw taking place on July 30. Winners will be announced on the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s website on August 2. Campaign URL: http://www.tycoondigi.com/eform/eform.aspx
In addition, hotel operators have also begun to roll out special promotions. For instance, the stylish Metropolitan Bangkok hotel, located in Bangkok’s bustling downtown area, is currently running a “Bangkok - Bouncing Back” accommodation and promotional campaign, with room rates starting at just $80 USD per night. The hotel is also offering a range of service discounts, with savings of up to 30% available, including breakfast, airport transfer services, and spa treatments. More information can be found online (URL: www.metropolitan.como.bz). The promotion runs from now until July 31.
