The Monga Bop Gua Lucky Party kicks off on September 25

On September 25, the “Monga Bop Gua Lucky Party” will be grandly held at the intersection of Xiyuan Road and Dali Street, introducing the public to the Five Treasures of Monga.

The local characteristics of the Monga business district are represented by its Five Treasures: First Treasure: high-quality clothing from the Monga clothing district; Second Treasure: health-promoting herbal tea from Herb Alley; Third Treasure: Buddhist artifacts from the Buddhist Goods Street; Fourth Treasure: fortune-telling in the basement of Longshan Temple; and Fifth Treasure: street snacks at Longshan Shopping Mall. Liu Chia-chun, head of the Department of Commerce, also invites everyone to come to the Monga business district at 2 p.m. on September 25 to seek good luck and win gold medals. On the day of the event, the public can participate in the “Bop Gua Lucky Draw for Gold Medals” by presenting any receipt or invoice from purchases made that day at Monga district shops, regardless of the amount spent. By trying their luck three times at the sacred draw, participants can receive a Lucky Fortune Bag (containing a “Heaven’s Blessing” map, a trendy mobile guide T-shirt, a cultural and creative mug, discount coupons from Monga shops, and a baby luck towel, with a total value of about NT$500).

In addition, participants can take part in the second phase “Lucky Gold Medal” bop gua challenge to take home a gold medal worth approximately NT$30,000. The business district is also launching an 11-day “Fortune Goodies Discount Week” (from now until October 3), with all Monga businesses mobilized to offer big discounts on goods. Meanwhile, member shops in the Monga clothing district will also launch a “Fortune Flower Cart Season” event, displaying garments starting as low as NT$100.

On the day of the event, the public can participate in the “Bop Gua Lucky Draw for Gold Medals” by presenting any receipt or invoice from purchases made that day at Monga district shops, regardless of the amount spent.

Liu Chia-chun, head of the Department of Commerce, stated that from now until October 3, as long as the public visits the Monga business district during the event period, they can enjoy discounts on hundreds of products. Additionally, by submitting their receipt numbers on the official website of the Taipei Shopping Festival after shopping in the district, they may have a chance to win a luxury car worth millions.
